It's about that time...

I think we are just going to have to get used to me posting twice in one day because I tend to have a hard time sorting out information in my brain!

First of all, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO POPPY! It was on Monday, and we are so thankful to have you in our lives! Wyatt, Jon, and I love you very much. Can't wait to see you soon.

Secondly, I was in Barnes & Noble yesterday, and was looking at the Bibles. I am in need of a new one. New chapters in my life are beginning so I thought it was fitting to get a brand new Word. Anywho, I was not aware of all the different types that there were, so finally to my question: What is a good type of Bible to get? I need one that's clear and to the point, and easy to follow when doing devotionals. I guess I mean one that is fitting for a fast-paced life, but can allow me to slooooowww down and get a good dose of Jesus. HELP!

I am starting a new thing! Fun Fact Fridays. So...
Did you know, more people are killed annually by donkeys then air crashes?

Have a wonderful Friday everyone! XOXO

  1. Hey there! I can't believe no one in this crowd had any Bible suggestions. Your Mom just got a new one. I think it's LARGE print. I like NIV myself. There are devotional Bibles for mom's, maybe that's what you need? There's an NIV one for Mom's--found it on Amazon.

As for fun facts, I guess nobody told Mary about the dangers before she schlepped off to Bethlehem. Good thing she made it!

  3. I guess I can do it after all.

About the Bible suggestion. The New American Standard is the most accurate Bible. It follows the earliest texts available ie the Lost Sea Scroll etc. Bibles are a very personal thing since it needs to meet your needs. The Message is the easiest to read since it is in contemporary language. It is only in the New Testament.

I suggest that you get a Study Bible with a concordance and notes that help in understanding. Main thing....read it each day which reminds me that I have not read mine yet and must do so! Love you lots...mimi

  4. Thanks for remembering my birthday. I am getting so old I can't remember it myself--or don't want too. Hug Wyatt for me. Love all of you.
